The Government of Egypt required a management plan that aligns with the
UNESCO benchmarks and conventions, ensuring the site’s preservation
while enhancing its appeal as a leading tourism destination
Strategic Management Plan
Developed a Strategic Management Plan for the Pyramids of Giza, providing a comprehensive framework for the site’s administration. This plan established a detailed set of policies, strategies, and action plans that address the site’s immediate and future needs.
Site Information Compilation
Gathered all the site information including
its historical background, statement of significance and listing criteria, site boundaries, planning parameters and on going developments, existing land use and
accessibility, ticket pricing, and management
organisation structure.
Stakeholder Mapping
Performed a stakeholders mapping exercise including face to face interviews with the key stakeholders influencing the site operation,
and reviewed all the on going excavation and
conservation programmes.
Site Assessment & SWOT Analysis
Conducted a comprehensive site assessment
across its cultural values, physical values, product and experiential values, and organisational values as a mean to come up with the SWOT analysis that informs the
development of the strategic management plan
